Our team at Atlantic Vet takes every precaution so that your pet receives the highest-quality care. We perform a complete physical exam and provide numerous preanesthetic testing options before surgery. As a member of the American Animal Hospital Association, our surgical patients will have an intravenous catheter placed prior to anesthesia unless circumstances dictate otherwise. We monitor your pet closely during surgery by recording heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen readings at regular intervals. We also provide appropriate pain medication both pre-and post-operatively to keep your pet comfortable during recovery.
