Nexgard is a one-and-done, soft-chewable that is beef-flavored. It is a fast-acting, safe, and an effective form of prevention against fleas, ticks, heartworm disease, roundworms, and hookworms. This product can be given to puppies starting at 8 weeks of age or older and is safe for pets over 4 pounds. Nexgard does not prevent flea/ticks from crawling on your pet; however once the parasite bites, the active ingredient in Nexgard (afoxolaner) works on the nervous system of fleas and ticks, causing hyper-excitation and death.
